New Country

Assimilating to other cultures and ways of life is something that I could never do. Where I come from has such a profound effect on who I am as a person that I could never abandon these cultural norms. This doesn't make me intolerant, rather it shows how native people from any country or province hold on to cultural aspects from home no matter how hard they try to erase them. You can run from your past as much as you want to but it will always follow you wherever you go.
