POV rewrite

The office is entirely dark except for the one solitary speck of light shimmering from the office of the CEO. “My very ambitious assistant has discovered some interesting figures” a cool shadow whispers while watching the CEO panic through the window across the street.

A frantic shout bellows from the other line “it’s happened before, they can’t pin anything on us!” The CEO is trying to reassure himself.

“I’m tired of these games! We barely made it through the last investigation, how can you be so ignorant?” the shadow places a sweaty palm against a picture of his vacation home purchased with the embezzled money.

Biography of my protagonist

Andrews is a sort of loner. His ambitions on working his way up the corporate ladder have lead him to a stable job working as an accountant at a firm that handles important clients. His ambition also has its downfalls. He neglects his relationships with his family (he only has his parents, no siblings) and pushes people away that become close to him. However this doesn't make him immoral, he has high regard for the law. Andrews has had luck with women but has never met one with the same drive for success as himself. He grew up in the inner city, attending sub par public schools. However he attended an Ivy League university and earned his masters degree in accounting.

Short Story Goals

When I begin writing my short story I have one specific goal in mind and that is to provide a story that a reader can follow, but not to beat them over the head with a perfectly lined out plot. I will do this by changing point of views, using dialogue and giving my story a fast pace. I hope that these techniques will give an exciting plot but not re veil too much without the reader thinking critically.

Perfect Day

Wake up 9am
Make a good breakfast for me and my girlfriend
Take my dog to the lake and spend some time fishing off the dock
Have a picnic lunch with a few friends
Take a dip in the lake to cool off
Build a campfire, sing songs and tell stories until we can't keep our eyes open any longer

New Conversation

Girl: "What were you thinking?"
Boy: "I don't know I wasn't thinking"
Girl: "Do your parents know?"
Boy: "I honestly don't know how to tell them"
Girl: "This could get out of hand fast"
Boy: "Its my problem you don't need to worry about it"
Girl: "You always let your stubbornness get in the way!"

Nature Prose Piece

. One wrong step.... Bushes become quiet as the squirells pause their argument. The birds hide away as the huge eye in the atmosphere turns his focus toward me. Wind seeses to exist as if it waits for the balance of nature to be restored. Even the insects forget about their songs, escaping to the bushes untill all is normal again.
